Problems with Posting on Blogger?

So I have to type while simultaneously holding down my left mouse button... but just on this website. And only in the text box. Umm...?

Mini-thoughts: Sims 4

I don't know how to feel about Sims 4 right now. The Create-A-Sim looks great with being able to take body parts and drag them to look exactly like you want. The home building looks cool, especially being able to take a whole room and move it where you want it. My God, how useful that would have been in my TS2 houses.

BUT

I don't like the look of the sims themselves. They look like they were made for a Facebook game or a phone app. I almost prefer the puddin-faces of Sims 3. I'm sure there will be some very talented creators to make them look a little less Facebook-ish, so long as EA reverts back to how easy adding CC was in TS2. That whole resource-file-core-mod stuff was ridiculous and half the time my tiny brain couldn't get it to work... Siiiigh. I dunno, EA, but you damn well better put horses in TS4, too. Also, please no rabbit holes. Loading screens > rabbit holes.

Rainbow Legacy Challenge: The Hues, Part Twos

Please don't judge my need to rhyme. It makes me sad when you judge with your face. You may judge Shafa with your face, though. He has more important things to do then care.

So, Shafa was a poor lonely guy. He met plenty of people at work, but they just weren't doing anything for him, not to mention the policy on workplace relationships. He ended up calling a matchmaker/gypsy because as we all know, they are the absolute authority in finding matches from a crystal ball....
Looking at it now, I realize she was wearing yellow when she came in. Maybe those matchmakers really do know what they're doing. Until you look closer and realize she's a teenager. We'll say 19 here. Yeah..... Her name is Merideth Leelaporn, too. I'd be lying if I said I didn't giggle once or twice.

Shafa... Not sure this is a good idea.

To avoid any more creepiness, I aged her into a young adult and sent her to college with Squinge's Mega College Pack mod (Find it here). Gave her a little makeover and BAM!

I'm sexy and I know it buh ba da da bum bum!

And then someone decided my house looked good to score on. Thankfully, I remembered the alarm system and then this fight ensued in my living room. If I remember correctly, he was taken to jail by this very abusive cop right here. Is this how a police officer takes down criminals normally? I mean, I'm not sure if a fist slap fight would work too well. Then again, if your house is on fire, you rarely stand there dancing and yelling at it.

Speaking of, has anyone ever seen what happens when something catches on fire and there's an infant in the area? Someone will actually pick it up and run it outside. I thought that was the coolest thing! Usually sims aren't that intelligent...

OH NO YOU DI-INT GURL!

Shafa tried to make dinner for his big proposal to Merideth a while later. I think they decided he should never become a chef based on those results. Of course, Merideth started picking on him something awful, so his response was, "Well then, maybe I should just take this back." He smiled at her as he pushed the box across the table. Then this face and fun times ensued. He may have been a little more successful if he hid the ring in a box of chinese takeout.....
This is not her gasping at the ring. She is trying not to puke from the food.

I loved when they added this in...Apartment Life, I think? It's just so cute and they look so happy. Best graduation gift ever. We'll leave it up to the imagination what happened before this, however.
<3

Shafa was then promoted in his job and got what may be the SEXIEST work attire ever. Are you ready? Brace yourselves.....
I'm sexy and I....I think I used that caption already.

Merideth grew in more ways than one once she graduated.... Here she is not able to get enough food because damn growing human! How dare you consume everything I ate!?
Om nom nom nom nom!

Next post is baby time! You get to see the *ahem* fruit of their labor, if you will. Thanks everyone!

Neopets as Sims

I realized after my last post that I never got a good picture of Shafa's face. So I think I'll post his neopets picture up as well as a short bio as to who he is.

The first one here is Shafa as a Sim and as a Neopet. I think he's purdy. As a character for a kinda sorta story I came up with, Shafa is the "protector" of Ightero. Though Ightero is the warrior and leader of this band of misfits, Shafa has been there for him since they were children and will always be by his side.

The rest of them can be found at Neopets on one of my pet's page. Ightero (Iggy) is one of the first ones on the page, so you can see how different he is from that lovable little kitten!

Rainbow Legacy Challenge

So, a while ago I decided to take it upon myself to try out the Rainbow Legacy Challenge (http://rainbowlegacy.livejournal.com/). Using their rules, I started my legacy with a sim I based on one of my Neopets (DON'T JUDGE!), Shafa. He likes to exercise, I suppose. He decided to jump rope outside one day.

He also wanted a pet, so I decided to have him adopt a kitten! Meet Iggy. He was adopted from the phone (because Sims) and was named after another one of my Neopets. Iggy in Neo (real name Ightero) is the farthest thing from a cute, cuddly kitten. I'm getting off topic, though. LOOK A KITTY!

This bowl is bigger than I am. Sadistic humans.

D'awww, snuggle the kitty!

FEDDER ON A STICK! O_O

Oooh, Iggy got shiny! Animals get a shiny confetti-filled birthday party when they grow up, too! He's a handsome kitty.

Sparkle, sparkle

Shafa is the most attractive male sim I've ever made. I am not the only one to have ever had a minor sim-crush.

Shafa got a cold shortly thereafter. I had him in the medical career track, I believe (maybe science, it's been some time). Either way, I had him make himself some medicine. It didn't help much. Makes me miss the days of Sims 1 when you had that potion-making table. Does anyone else remember that? I got fined by the police so many times because the fumes wafted through the neighborhood.

*coughcough* The fumes from the potions!

Shafa's got a thing for that star in the sky. He wants it.

This is something I never understood with The Sims (then again, it's always been kind of weird) but why do they throw their animals up in the air? Is that a normal thing? I mean, if I tried to do that to my cat, she would not only would she fall and get hurt, she'd claw the shit out of me.

Mrow?

Stay tuned for more! The Hues family legacy is going strong so far! All you non-existent readers enjoy!

Old Staged Shots

I think I'll just post a few pictures before I start in with my legacies/planned town pictures. Today, ones I actually tried for and not just caught from the game!

These four were for a contest with the theme of "green" a few years back. I deleted two of the pictures because they were just bad. The top one is "green" as in nature-loving. The rest, well, are a bit more obvious. I didn't win... or place... Ah well, so it goes.

Old Images

Just wanted to share a few older images I have saved up. Most of these are just random little things I found while in my game, either just playing or going in to do some actual shoots.

This second one always makes me laugh. For some reason, I would make all my sims meditate before they gave birth. I don't know why.... I have long since stopped doing that.

Tumbling Down the Rabbit Hole

When I finally hit the ground, I slowly open my eyes. Waiting ever so patiently to get the air back into my lungs, I realize I don't hurt as much as I should despite the fall that seemed to last forever. Able to breathe at last, I stand up and look above me while wiping the dirt off my dress. Somehow, I wound up in the world of Alice in Wonderland with the table in front of me and the tiny door by my foot. Copying her actions, I shrink myself to size and step out the little door into the glaring sunlight. I lift my hand to my eyes and stop. My hands.... my hands are not my hands. They're digitized, pixelated... like the world surrounding me. The plants are as large as Lewis Carroll had described in his famous story but the curves were nothing more than differing colors of tiny squares. Shocked, I run forward looking for a person, an explanation. Finally, I catch up to someone wandering around in a field. "HEY!" I shout, petrified. They casually look over, turn to face me squarely, and wave, a smile plastered on their face and their hand the only thing moving on their body.
"Sul sul!" they respond.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Hello, and welcome to my Sims blog. I have been with the Sims for approximately nine years now, beginning with the Sims 1 (and knowing nothing about custom content) then graduating to the Sims 2 (and now having my computer hate me because of the CC). I attempted to graduate to the Sims 3, but my computer is not in the correct shape for that, hopefully to be remedied soon. Please excuse the lack of perfect graphics, I do try my best. Some of these images will be staged, some will be candid shots. I do hope you enjoy!
