Rainbow Legacy Challenge

So, a while ago I decided to take it upon myself to try out the Rainbow Legacy Challenge (http://rainbowlegacy.livejournal.com/). Using their rules, I started my legacy with a sim I based on one of my Neopets (DON'T JUDGE!), Shafa. He likes to exercise, I suppose. He decided to jump rope outside one day.

He also wanted a pet, so I decided to have him adopt a kitten! Meet Iggy. He was adopted from the phone (because Sims) and was named after another one of my Neopets. Iggy in Neo (real name Ightero) is the farthest thing from a cute, cuddly kitten. I'm getting off topic, though. LOOK A KITTY!

This bowl is bigger than I am. Sadistic humans.

D'awww, snuggle the kitty!

FEDDER ON A STICK! O_O

Oooh, Iggy got shiny! Animals get a shiny confetti-filled birthday party when they grow up, too! He's a handsome kitty.

Sparkle, sparkle

Shafa is the most attractive male sim I've ever made. I am not the only one to have ever had a minor sim-crush.

Shafa got a cold shortly thereafter. I had him in the medical career track, I believe (maybe science, it's been some time). Either way, I had him make himself some medicine. It didn't help much. Makes me miss the days of Sims 1 when you had that potion-making table. Does anyone else remember that? I got fined by the police so many times because the fumes wafted through the neighborhood.

*coughcough* The fumes from the potions!

Shafa's got a thing for that star in the sky. He wants it.

This is something I never understood with The Sims (then again, it's always been kind of weird) but why do they throw their animals up in the air? Is that a normal thing? I mean, if I tried to do that to my cat, she would not only would she fall and get hurt, she'd claw the shit out of me.

Mrow?

Stay tuned for more! The Hues family legacy is going strong so far! All you non-existent readers enjoy!

Old Staged Shots

I think I'll just post a few pictures before I start in with my legacies/planned town pictures. Today, ones I actually tried for and not just caught from the game!

These four were for a contest with the theme of "green" a few years back. I deleted two of the pictures because they were just bad. The top one is "green" as in nature-loving. The rest, well, are a bit more obvious. I didn't win... or place... Ah well, so it goes.

Old Images

Just wanted to share a few older images I have saved up. Most of these are just random little things I found while in my game, either just playing or going in to do some actual shoots.

This second one always makes me laugh. For some reason, I would make all my sims meditate before they gave birth. I don't know why.... I have long since stopped doing that.

Tumbling Down the Rabbit Hole

When I finally hit the ground, I slowly open my eyes. Waiting ever so patiently to get the air back into my lungs, I realize I don't hurt as much as I should despite the fall that seemed to last forever. Able to breathe at last, I stand up and look above me while wiping the dirt off my dress. Somehow, I wound up in the world of Alice in Wonderland with the table in front of me and the tiny door by my foot. Copying her actions, I shrink myself to size and step out the little door into the glaring sunlight. I lift my hand to my eyes and stop. My hands.... my hands are not my hands. They're digitized, pixelated... like the world surrounding me. The plants are as large as Lewis Carroll had described in his famous story but the curves were nothing more than differing colors of tiny squares. Shocked, I run forward looking for a person, an explanation. Finally, I catch up to someone wandering around in a field. "HEY!" I shout, petrified. They casually look over, turn to face me squarely, and wave, a smile plastered on their face and their hand the only thing moving on their body.
"Sul sul!" they respond.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

Hello, and welcome to my Sims blog. I have been with the Sims for approximately nine years now, beginning with the Sims 1 (and knowing nothing about custom content) then graduating to the Sims 2 (and now having my computer hate me because of the CC). I attempted to graduate to the Sims 3, but my computer is not in the correct shape for that, hopefully to be remedied soon. Please excuse the lack of perfect graphics, I do try my best. Some of these images will be staged, some will be candid shots. I do hope you enjoy!
